It depends on your state — and this is one of the first things we cover. Some states allow SLPs to practice independently. Others require a collaboration agreement or MD supervision. You'll receive an email template to send to your state board and a collaboration agreement outline so you can get a clear, state-specific answer and move forward confidently.

Yes — and it's more robust than most SLPs realize. There are over 6,000 peer-reviewed studies on photobiomodulation. The NIH recognizes it for pain management, inflammation reduction, and wound healing. A prospective cohort study pairing laser with myofunctional therapy showed 89% improved speech, 83% improved solid feeding, and 83% improved sleep. Session 1 walks you through the evidence you need — and how to cite it when someone pushes back.

If you work with any of the following, laser has direct clinical applications for your patients: tongue tie or post-frenectomy, feeding challenges, tinnitus, TMJ dysfunction, airway or sleep concerns, articulation and motor planning difficulties, sensory or regulatory challenges, or myofunctional disorders. Session 2 is dedicated entirely to clinical applications across populations — infants through adults.

All sessions are recorded and you'll have lifetime access to every material. That said, the live cohort format exists for a reason — the Q&A and case-based discussion in each session are core to the learning. Show up if you can.

Every other laser certification is built for PT, MD, or chiropractic scope. None of them cover tongue tie, feeding aversion, vagal regulation, tinnitus, or articulation motor planning. None of them include SLP-specific protocol templates or scripts for skeptical parents.
